ABSTRACT:
A data storage apparatus comprising a scrambling circuit34for converting address signals and error data output by a tester24to a desired format, and a storage device28for storing the converted data. The scrambling circuit34includes a plurality of conversion circuits40, 42and44each converting the signals from the tester24according to different rules, and a selector46for selecting one of signals output by the conversion circuits40, 42and44and for supplying what is selected to the storage device.
