According to the present invention, a protective seal S1for protecting a transparent member11is composed of an organic base16, adhesive layers17, and a second adhesive layer18having low adhesion. The adhesive layers17are provided only on edges corresponding, on the organic base16, to sides11bof the transparent member and the second adhesive layer18is provided on a portion corresponding, on the organic base16, to a surface11aof the transparent member. The organic base16is fixed to the sides11band the surface11aof the transparent member11with the adhesive layers17and18.
