ABSTRACT:
A multimedia player system has a computer-based control center and stations of analog audio/video sources connected by and expandable through a multimedia bus. The bus structure is applicable to a multimedia computer environment and by using the multimedia bus and its connector, the multimedia computer system joins with the external audio/video sources having components, the number of which are expandable to be as much as needed. The analog audio/video signals that cannot be transferred by the digital PCI bus are transferred through the multimedia bus, across the multimedia component system. One of the desired external audio/video sources can then be selected by a control signal of the computer based control center.
