A cartridge comprises a container11for housing a connected staple, a driving section21for driving a staple, a conveying path25which extends from the container11to the driving section21, and conveys the connected staple, a feeding member30which is disposed in a position remote from a guide member23forming the conveying path25, and reciprocates along the conveying path, feeding claws31A,31B having leading end portions which are attached to the feeding member30, and project in the conveying path25from openings23A,23B formed in the guide wall23, and the connected staple being fed toward the driving section21by the feeding claws31A,31B when the feeding member30advances. The cartridge further comprises a link mechanism50for moving the feeding member30backward when a lid13of the container11is opened.
