ABSTRACT:
A fin apparatus is transversely disposed beneath a wire to create a wave of positive pressure thereunder to urge a formed web off of the wire. The fin surface, in transverse cross-section, is a smooth convex curve that diminishes in radius toward the downstream end of the fin.
