ABSTRACT:
An edible and hatchable aquaculture product is produced by soaking a quantity of dry brine shrimp eggs in fresh water, then adding an oxidizing agent to the water to dissolve the outer shells of the water-soaked brine shrimp eggs while agitating the eggs and maintaining the temperature of the mixutre below 40.degree. C., separating the resultant denuded cysts from the mixture, rinsing the separated cysts in a neutralizing liquid, and thereafter thoroughly drying the denuded cysts at a temperature below 40.degree. C.
