ABSTRACT:
An ink-jet printer includes a unitary printhead and carriage assembly supporting a refillable or replaceable ink storage vessel for printing from a reservoir of ink from the ink storage vessel through a printhead comprising a plurality of nozzles according to a print command input received via a printing control cable. A head cap provides access to the printhead and carriage assembly to replace the ink storage vessel when ink is depleted in order to continuously provide a supply of ink without discarding the printhead cartridge.
