ABSTRACT:
A process is provided for converting feedstock comprising aromatic compounds to product comprising aromatic compounds which differs from the feedstock over catalyst prepared by a method for reactivating a catalyst composition comprising a crystalline zeolite material having a silicon/aluminum atomic ratio of at least about 2, said catalyst composition having been deactivated by contact with steam. The catalyst preparation method involves contacting said steam-deactivated catalyst composition with an aluminum compound at elevated temperature, and contacting said aluminum compound contacted catalyst composition with an aqueous acid solution.
