ABSTRACT:
A wheel support bearing assembly for rotatably supporting a wheel13relative to a vehicle body structure12includes outer and inner members1and2with dual rows of rolling elements3interposed therebetween. An electric generator4for generating an electric power as one of the inner and outer members1and2rotates relative to the other of the inner and outer members1and2is utilized. The electric generator4includes a coil/magnetic element combination17, including a ring member accommodating a coil therein, and a multi-pole magnet18. A signal outputted from the electric generator4and indicative of the number of revolutions of the wheel13is transmitted wireless by a transmitter5. This transmitter5may be an annular transmitter.
