ABSTRACT:
A video repeat reproduction method and apparatus for use with a video recording and reproducing apparatus such as a video tape recorder, which employs predetermined signals to repeatedly reproduce a specific interval of a video signal. The method includes the steps of recording distinctive index signals respectively at the starting point and ending point of a desired repeat reproduction interval while displaying a reproduced picture, detecting the index signals which are recorded on the recording medium, displaying the detected index signals on a screen, and repeatedly reproducing the interval of the video signal on which the index signals have been recorded by a desired number of times if a repeat reproduction command is applied.
