ABSTRACT:
A reception error rate of a received signal is detected; the detected reception error rate is compared with predetermined target reception error rate; the SIR (the ratio between the target received signal power and the interference power), or the target reception power is corrected based on the result of the comparison; the control signal (TPC control bit) for transmission is set so that the transmission power can be controlled to a predetermined target value based on the SIR or the target reception power value.
