ABSTRACT:
An adhesive composition which contains a thermoplastic elastomeric polymer which includes ethylene propylene rubber, ethylene propylene diene monomer, polyisobutylene butyl rubber, ethylene vinyl acetate graft copolymers thereof with C.sub.3 to C.sub.10 unsaturated mono- and polycarboxylic acids, a tackifiying resin and a encapsulated maleated polymer di- or polyamine cross-linking agent having 2-10 carbon atoms, which is useful as a hot melt or pressure sensitive adhesive having enhanced higher temperature properties. Also claimed is the encapsulated polyamine itself. Preferably, the encapsulating material is maleated polypropylene.
