ABSTRACT:
To provide an image forming apparatus which is quite compact and is quite ease of maintenance. The image forming apparatus comprises image forming stations Y, M, C, K for respective colors arranged along a transfer belt16, each image forming station including an image carrier20, a charging means22and a developing means24disposed around the image carrier20. In the apparatus, the transfer belt16is arranged obliquely, and an electrical component box5in which power sources and control circuits are housed is arranged below or above the transfer belt. In addition, a driving circuit for array-type writing heads23is arranged below or above the transfer belt.
