ABSTRACT:
A system and method for interfacing peripheral devices to a computer universal serial bus is disclosed. The system is adaptable to a wide variety of peripheral devices and features a user-configurable serial EEPROM coupled to the interface in which vendor specific data can be stored for use by the interface. Interface parameters may also be selected by an externally controllable configuration switch.
