ABSTRACT:
A system and method are provided in a multi-function peripheral to authenticate a user. The system includes a processor and a memory that are coupled to a local network. The system also includes send logic store on the memory and executable by the processor. The send logic includes logic to input a password associated with a user, and logic to authenticate the password and to obtain a FROM field identifier associated with the user.
