ABSTRACT:
A substituted pyridinesulfonamide compound having the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group or an alkenyl group, R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, an alkoxyalkyl group or an alkenyl group, R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkylthio group, an alkoxyalkyl group, an alkylamino group or a dialkylamino group, and each of X and Y which are independent from each other, is a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a haloalkoxy group, or salt thereof, a preparation thereof, a herbicidal composition containing it and intermediate thereof.
