ABSTRACT:
Substituted N-phenylpyridazone derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -haloalkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulfinyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulfonyl, halogen, cyano, phenyl, phenoxy, or phenylthio and Z is a straight-chain, saturated alkylene group of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, herbicides containing these compounds, and a process for combating the growth of unwanted plants.
