ABSTRACT:
A recording medium has an ink-receiving layer of a condensation product of sorbitol with an aromatic aldehyde, polyvinylpyrrolidone and a resin, wherein the resin has a main component of a unit with hydroxyl group represented by a following Formula (I) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently denote hydrogen or methyl; R.sub.4 denotes a group represented by ##STR2## m is an integer of 1-20, R.sub.5 denotes a group represented by --C.sub.l H.sub.2l --, l is an integer of 1-4.
