ABSTRACT:
A reciprocative deflection type CRT display apparatus includes a reciprocative horizontal deflection circuit formed by a horizontal deflecting direction change-over circuit, a 1/2-frequency divider, a horizontal deflecting coil and an S-like distortion correcting capacitor. The horizontal deflecting direction changeover circuit connects one end of the horizontal deflecting coil to a power source and the ground alternatively upon every horizontal scanning period, whereby horizontal deflection is alternately changed over between forward and backward directions without need for generating a flyback pulse of large amplitude. Power loss involved in operation of a horizontal output switching element constituting the horizontal deflection switching circuit is reduced to about 1/10 or less when compared with the conventional CRT.
