A method for producing a fiber molded article comprising the step of transferring a fiber molded article10formed in a papermaking mold2composed of splits20and20′to a split30′of a drying mold3, in which the papermaking mold2is once opened while attracting the fiber molded article10to the inner surface of the split20′by suction to separate the fiber molded article10from the inner surface of the split20, the papermaking mold2is closed, the suction by the split20′is stopped, the papermaking mold2is opened again while attracting the fiber molded article10to the inner surface of the split20to separate the fiber molded article10from the split20′, the split20is joined with the split30′, the fiber molded article10is attracted to the inner surface of the split30′by suction, and the fiber molded article10is separated from the split20.
