ABSTRACT:
A pseudo-noise code synchronization device using an adaptive threshold in a spread spectrum receiver comprises a pseudo noise code generator, a first despread circuit, a first accumulator and dump circuit, a first squaring circuit, a first adder, a first square root-operating circuit, an adaptive threshold generator, a comparator, an initial synchronization controller, a code tracking controller, and a pseudo noise clock controller, thereby performing a stable pseudo noise code synchronization of a received spread spectrum signal by varying the threshold according to the variance of the received spread spectrum signal.
