ABSTRACT:
To provide a plating removing apparatus for 3-piece wheels, which can easily and neatly remove plating at the welding planned portion of the superimposed part of the inner rim and the outer rim. A plating removing apparatus that removes plating of a welding planned portion R in a three-piece wheel having the inner rim2B, the outer rim2A, and a disk, comprises a support means11that rotatably supports the outer rim2A, at least three holding rollers34that hold the rim supported by the support means11from the outer circumferential side, a rotation drive means67that rotates and drives the outer rim2A held by the holding rollers34, and a grinding means that grinds the welding planned portion R on the outer circumferential surface of the rim2A by an abrasive cloth/paper13and removes plating the welding planned portion R.
