ABSTRACT:
A piezoceramic material comprising PbTiO.sub.3, PbZrO.sub.3, PbB'.sub.1-.alpha. B".sub..alpha. O.sub.3, and PbB'".sub.1-.alpha. B.sub..alpha..sup.IV O.sub.3, wherein B' is selected from the group consisting of Nb.sup.5+, W.sup.6+ ; B" is selected from the group consisting of Zn.sup.2+, Mg.sup.2+, Co.sup.2+, Mn.sup.2+, Ni.sup.2+ ; B'" is selected from the group consisting of Nb.sup.5+, W.sup.6+ ; B.sup.IV is selected from the group consisting of Zn.sup.2+, Mg.sup.2+, Co.sup.2+, Ni.sup.2+ ; .alpha.=1/2 for W.sup.6+ and 1/3 for Nb.sup.5+, with B' and B"' being equal to Nb.sup.5+, and B" being equal to Ni.sup.2+, B.sup.IV is neither equal to Zn.sup.2+ nor to Mn.sup.2+ ; with B' and B'" being equal to Nb.sup.5+, B" being equal to Mg.sup.2+, B.sup.IV is not equal to Mn.sup.2+, and the content of the above components being as follows, molar percent:
