ABSTRACT:
A pickling bath for iron or nickel based heat-resistance alloy article having at least 3.5% molybdenum is disclosed. The bath consists of an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, phosphoric acid and further contains a ferric salt. Processes for using the bath to treat said alloy articles are also disclosed.
