ABSTRACT:
Pharmaceutical compositions are disclosed, which are effective in the treatment and prophylaxis of ulcers and which comprise as a pharmacologically active ulcus-inhibiting ingredient a compound selected from the group of N.sub.1 -acyl-N.sub.2 -(4-chlorophenyl)-1,3-diaminopropan-2-ols, having the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents 3,4-dimethoxyphenyl, 2-fluorophenyl, 2-trifluoromethylphenyl, or furyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent.
Further disclosed is a new process for the preparation of the compounds of formula I.
