ABSTRACT:
‘Patriot’ is an improved clonal turf bermudagrass cultivar suitable for many applications including golf course fairways and tees athletic fields, home and commercial landscape sites, and parks and playgrounds. It is a tetraploid (2n=4x=36 chromosomes) interspecific F1hybrid from a cross ofCynodon dactylonbyC. transvaalensischaracterized by dark blue-green color, vigorous growth, good winter hardiness, and good turf quality.
