ABSTRACT:
A noncontacting short-range communication device for a slide door for excellently performing bidirectional data communication by electromagnetic induction coupling between the side of a vehicle body and the side of the slide door is provided. Data are transmitted and received between the first communication unit31connected to the first antenna member17and the second communication unit41connected to the second antenna member18by the electromagnetic induction coupling of the first and second antenna members17, 18. Each of the first and second communication units31, 41includes a microcomputer34, 44and a data communication circuit33, 43for performing semi-duplex bidirectional communication. Each of the data communication circuit33, 43includes: a transmitting section33A,43A, to which a clock pulse of the microcomputer34, 44is supplied, for transmitting a modulated wave obtained by on-off modulating the clock pulse as a base signal with the data having a serial communication form through the antenna member17, 18; and a receiving section33B,43B for receiving and demodulating the modulated wave so as to gain the data.
