ABSTRACT:
A multi-layer photosensitive material for color photography comprising a support and coated thereon, a first color image-forming layer unit composed of a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion, a second color image-forming layer unit composed of a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion and a third color image-forming layer unit composed of a blur-sensitive silver halide emulsion; characterized in that at least one of said color image-forming layer units has a composite layer structure including a lower layer and an upper layer which are positioned in sequence from the support, said upper layer has a higher sensitivity and a lower maximum developed color density than said lower layer, and at least one of said upper layer and lower layer contains a mercaptan type development inhibitor-releasing compound capable of reacting with an oxidation product of a primary aromatic amine to form a substantially colorless compound.
