ABSTRACT:
A method of reducing, by the addition of hydrogen peroxide, the emission of NO.sub.x gas in the treatment of a nitric acid-containing liquid is disclosed. In the method the redox potential of the liquid is measured and the amount of added hydrogen peroxide is adjusted in relation to the redox potential.
