ABSTRACT:
A high throughput station in a wireless local area network including high throughput stations and legacy stations with different data transmission capabilities, the station being configured to obtain transmission parameters of a transmitting high throughput station from a data transmission frame of a high throughput format received from the transmitting high throughput station, search for transmission parameters corresponding to a legacy format among transmission parameters of the receiving high throughput station, which correspond to the transmission parameters of the transmitting high throughput station, and determine the transmission rate of the control response frame based on a result of the search.
