ABSTRACT:
A method of improving the washing efficiency for removal of cooking and bleaching chemicals from cellulose paper pulp on rotary vacuum filters by disrupting the filter mat with a low volume, directly impinged flow of wash liquor applied intermediately of soft, displacement wash liquor applications. No additional wash liquor is allocated for respective wash stages but the mat disturbing flow volume is deducted from the predetermined requirement with the remainder divided in substantially equal proportions applied before and after the mat disturbing application.
