ABSTRACT:
A lithographic printing plate precursor having an image-forming layer capable of drawing images by heat or heat mode exposure, which comprises a support and a layer containing a heat decomposable dye having an absorption maximum wavelength in a visible region, not substantially having an absorption in an oscillation wavelength of a laser used for heat mode exposure, and having a heat decomposition initiation temperature of 250° C. or lower.
