ABSTRACT:
A circuit for detecting a jitter of an image signal reproduced from a recording media, comprises a variable oblique wave generating circuit for generating an oblique wave at timing according to the phase of the output pulse of a frequency dividing circuit wherein a tilt of the oblique wave is varied by an input control signal a sample-hold circuit for sampling and holding the tilt portion of the variable oblique wave in dependence upon reception of a horizontal synchronizing signal as a sample pulse.
