In an insertion device for deforming a deformable intraocular lens to a smaller size and inserting the intraocular lens into an eye via an insertion tube, a slit is formed in an insertion end portion of the insertion tube, and cut surfaces of the slit and at least the inner wall surface of the insertion end portion are connected by curved surfaces.
