ABSTRACT:
An infrared sensitive composition and a lithographic printing plate precursor having a large difference in alkali solubility between the exposed portions and unexposed portions (dissolution discrimination), an excellent latitude in development, and a high sensitivity can be provided when the composition is used for the image-forming layer of a lithographic printing plate precursor, which is an infrared sensitive composition comprising an alkali-soluble resin having a phenolic hydroxyl group (A), a light-heat converting substance (B) and a leucohydroxy dye (C).
