ABSTRACT:
Immunogens of formula I are provided for obtaining HbA.sub.1c -specific antibodies ##STR1## M is 1 to 40, T is a carrier protein and A is a 10-20 atoms spacer and is ##STR2## where X is S or --NH--, n is 1 to 4 and B is a succinimide containing organic radical. The antibodies obtained bind glycosylated hemoglobin to determine HbA.sub.1c in body fluids.
