ABSTRACT:
In an IC card30is sealed an IC chip70provided with an exposure sensor84. When exposure sensor84detects that IC card30has been opened, exposure sensor84outputs an exposure detection signal to a CPU76. In response to the exposure detection signal, CPU76provides a predetermined operation, such as erasure of data in a non-volatile memory78. As such, the data in non-volatile memory78cannot be obtained if IC card30is improperly opened to check the data in non-volatile memory78. Thus the IC card can obtain an enhanced data security.
