ABSTRACT:
Deactivated hydrorefining catalysts are regenerated by incorporation of a phosphorus component followed by combustive coke-removal from the catalyst. The regenerated catalyst is useful for promoting hydrodesulfurization reactions, particularly those involving demetallation of hydrocarbons.
