ABSTRACT:
A ground-fault protective scheme for a three-phase electric distribution system that comprises two sources having neutral points that are interconnected by a neutral conductor and a separate ground connection for each neutral point located at or near the neutral point. The protective scheme responds correctly to a ground fault even though the current resulting from such ground fault may return to its source through either of said ground connections and may distribute itself in any proportion between said ground connections.
