ABSTRACT:
A luminescent device having a high luminescence efficiency and a high luminance is provided by using a rhenium coordination compounds the luminescent device comprising a Re complex compound provided between a pair of electrodes on a substrate, wherein the Re complex compound is expressed by the following general formula:in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?ReCO]nin-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein Re is rhenium, CO is a carbonyl group, and n is an integer ranging from 1 to 5.
