ABSTRACT:
A driving circuit for a luminescent display tube having a plurality of segment anodes arranged in a predetermined direction and each provided with a luminescent material layer, the segment anodes being divided into a plurality of groups each having the same number of the segment anodes, the corresponding segment anodes of the respective groups being connected in common, and a plurality of control grids provided separately for the respective groups, comprising a scanning pulse generating circuit section for generating scanning pulses for successively driving the segment anodes connected in common, and a control circuit section adapted to receive the scanning pulses from the scanning pulse generating circuit section and input numeric signals and adapted to give driving signals to the control grids according to the input numeric signals.
