ABSTRACT:
A DNA encoding a 16 kD protein capable of inducing an immune response protective against human malarial infection caused by Plasmodium falciparum, and to the cloning and expression of a gene encoding the said protein. The invention further relates to novel vaccines comprising the said protein and to their use in the vaccination of humans at risk from malaria.
