A disc release apparatus for a disc player. The disc release apparatus includes: a slide plate installed on a main chassis, so that the slider plate is moved in a direction transverse to a transfer direction of a disc by being linked with the slider; and a linkage unit installed on the main chassis, so that the linkage unit can move the disc in the transfer direction of the disc by being linked with the slide plate.
