Deodorants and antiperspirants comprising aluminum chlorohydrates according to the formula Iin-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Al2(OH)nClz  (I)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?where n is a number between 4.5 and 5.1 and z is a number between 1.5 and 0.9 and n+z is always 6, with an iron content of less than 20 ppm, preferably less than 10 ppm, based on the dry substance.
