ABSTRACT:
A credit card type dental floss dispenser for carrying in a wallet or the like. The dispenser comprises a substantially closed housing (57) having oppositely disposed substantially planar wall portions, narrowly spaced apart and a supply of dental floss within. The floss dispenser includes a dispensing area (56) for dispensing the floss including a cutter (64) for severing the floss into desired lengths. The dispensing area is enclosed by a moveable cover (58) in order to improve hygiene and prevent dirt from contamination the floss supply. A floss storage reel may be visible through the housing and may include advertising or other indicia. The dispenser may also include means to prevent rotation of the reel in one direction.
