A copolyadiapamide consisting essentially of between about 60 and about 99.5 mole percent hexamethyleneadipamide units and between about 0.5 and 40 mole percent trimethylhexamethyleneadipamide units, the copolyamide having an RV greater than about 25, and a melting point of greater than about 220.degree. C.
