ABSTRACT:
A bladed centrifugal blasting wheel formed of a pair of spaced parallel wheel plates having a central opening through which blades are inserted into grooves extending radially from the central opening through the adjacent surfaces of the wheel plates, improvements including means for locking the blades between the wheel plates, impeller and control cage means for feeding particulate material onto the ends of the blades with centering means forming a part of the impeller for locating the elements in the central opening, resilient means adapted to be engaged by the blades upon insertion for holding the inserted blades during assembly, indicator means for showing the position of the control cage and means for providing air curtain to prevent accumulation of stray or rebound abrasive in the hub seal area during rotation of the bladed wheel.
