ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to bis(hydroxyalkyl alkyl ester) polysulfides of the formula ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is independently selected from alkylene groups having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is independently selected from alkylene groups having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and x is an integer of from 2 to 8. These polysulfides are particularly suited for use in rubber compositions.
