The present invention relates to a bioenhancing/bioavailability-facilitating composition comprising:an effective amount of an extract and/or at least one bioactive fraction fromCuminum cyminum;one or more additive selected from drugs, nutrients, vitamins, nutraceuticals, herbal drugs/products, micro nutrients, antioxidants along with pharmaceutically acceptable additives/excipient, andoptionally, an effective amount of piperine or extract/fraction ofpiper nigrumorpiper longum;anda process for the preparation of such extracts and active fractions from plantCuminum cyminum.
