ABSTRACT:
A bacterial strain ofEscherichia coliis described which produces L-threonine, and is obtained by a process comprising transduction by bacteriophage P1 which bears a transposon which inactivates threonine dehydrogenase activity, and isolation of a transductant lacking threonine dehydrogenase activity.
